  • Please have your chosen book in class with you every day and get in the habit of carrying it back and forth to school each day. You will be reading it for homework and may be asked to use it in class as well.

  • A folder with inside pockets to hold project directions and work in progress
  • A copy of the book Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry. (We are asking students to have a personal copy of the first book we will read together as a class in order to do active reading. Active reading includes annotating or marking up a book in order to understand more clearly what you are reading and be able to use parts of the book in your writing. If you need the school to provide you with a copy of the book, just let me know.)
